The city has been experiencing continuous heavy rains in various regions since Wednesday afternoon at 12 p.m. Between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, an average of 76.45 mm of rain fell in Mumbai. The eastern suburbs received an average of 58.01 mm of rainfall during this time period, while the western suburbs received somewhat more, at 70.43 mm.
